OPEN LETTER TO CITIZENS OF CALHOUN COUNTY
I am asking for your support for Senate Bill 125. Senator Charles Clements has introduced Senate Bill 125 to the West Virginia Legislature, bringing all small rural counties under 1400 students up to the level of 1400 students for funding. This Bill is critical for Calhoun County Schools, as it will allow us to not only maintain current staffing, but be able to add additional teachers, counselors, bus operators, classroom aides, custodians, cooks, maintenance, mechanics and secretaries.
You can help our efforts to get Senate Bill 125 passed by calling or writing all of our elected Senators and Delegates, asking them to support Senate Bill 125. If you would like, you can e-mail your letters of support to firstname.lastname@example.org. I will collect all of the letters and personally deliver them to every Member of the House of Delegates and Members of the Senate. If you would like to mail your letters, you can find the addresses for the legislators at www.wvlegislature.gov.
As previously stated, I cannot stress enough how critical it is for the citizens of Calhoun County and employees of Calhoun County Schools to support the students of Calhoun County by lobbying your Delegates and Senators to support Senate Bill 125 to fund all small rural counties under 1400 students at the 1400 student level.
If you have questions and would like to talk to me about this bill, please contact me at the e-mail address above or by calling 304-354-7011, ext. 314.
