About the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center

The Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center is a career and technical education (CTE) institution located between Grantsville and Glenville, West Virginia on State Route 5. Opening in August 1975, the Career Center is a part of Calhoun and Gilmer Counties' public education systems. For over 30 years, the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center has offered a vaety of occupational training programs designed to prepare graduates for the workplace or to continue their education at a trade school, junior college or traditional four-year college.

The Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center has developed articulation agreements (contracts) with many area colleges and universities which allow students to earn advanced college credits or EDGE (Earn a Degree - Graduate Early) credits, while completing their training at the Career Center. Students must meet college or university requirements to earn credits through our programs. EDGE credits are also available in most of our programs. All these credits are free of charge.
