Red Devils win!

On August 30th, The Calhoun varsity football team won Friday’s home conference game against Wirt County by a score of 8-6. Calhoun’s passing game was minimal, but Travis Richards had an explosive night with over 200 rushing yards. On the defensive side of the ball, many plays were made as well. Mason Bailey and Justin Mounts had 2 sacks in the fourth quarter to make it 4th and long. After those 2 sacks, Ian Persinger picked off a pass from Wirt County’s quarterback. After the Tigers had thrown an interception and caused a turnover, the Red Devils went into victory formation and ran all the time out on the clock. The Red Devils will face Webster County on September 7th @ Webster County.
